The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) program at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish has already borne much fruit for our community. However, the space available for CGS at Sacred Heart is no longer adequate to meet the growing demand from families in surrounding communities and from the St. Philomena Montessori School (SPMS). SPMS is well-equipped to administer CGS going forward in a space provided for it by Friends of St. Philomena Montessori School. This new spiritual home for children, the St. Philomena Montessori Catechesis Center, will be leased to SPMS to implement CGS for the children attending the school and for the broader community.

We anticipate that the most important outcome of creating the St. Philomena Montessori Catechesis Center will be a joyful relationship between the child and God that permeates into the family and the community.

By creating a dedicated space for the Catechesis Center, Friends of St. Philomena Montessori School will lay the foundation upon which St. Philomena Montessori School can strengthen the good work already begun for children in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish.
