In 2024 Cheryl Flood and two other parents of SPM students, Amy Egbert and Meg Becker, saw a need to create an independent nonprofit organization with a focus on assisting in the development of Catholic Montessori education. Thus, the Friends of St. Philomena Montessori School came to be.  Since our founding in 2024 we have helped to provide materials needed in the classroom and the atrium for St. Philomena Montessori School. We have also assisted in recruiting highly qualified staff. We seek to provide financial assistance in ways that are truly valuable to the development of the school but do not fit into the current school budget.
